The importance of giving...

It has become a tradition of the school to bake goods for the Freeport Community Center. The children bake at school and we deliver the baked goods to the Community Center where they are sold. The profit is used to help people in need from our community.

This morning, students from CM1 and CM2 baked "roses des sables", a delicious treat made with corn flakes, chocolate and butter. It is very easy to make, does not need any baking and is absolutely delicious. You just need to refrigerate them.

The CE1 chose to bake 4 "gâteaux au yaourt" with chocolate chips in it! They followed the recipe by themselves and did absolutely everything with no help from the teacher at all!

All students were absolutely delighted to bake and help the community by doing so. What a wonderful way to start the new year! Merci les enfants!
