Japan Relief Benefit Concert - June 26

Announcing a Japan Relief Benefit Concert, to be held on Sunday evening, June 26th at 6:30pm at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in Standish, in the Alfond Rec Center Gymnasium.

The New England Suzuki Institute and the Maine Suzuki Association are very excited to collaborate on this fundraising concert for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that occurred in Japan in March. This will be an exciting event honoring the spirit of Dr Suzuki and in support of the Talent Education Research Institute All-Japan concert that had to be cancelled in March in Tokyo. TERI is the national Suzuki organization in Japan and their annual concert typically includes thousands of children. TERI is collecting donations and distributing where the need is most urgent.

Saint Joseph's College has generously donated space for this benefit concert and we expect to have over 200 students of violin, viola, cello, guitar and piano participate from all over Maine as well as other states! Eyewitnesses and special guests have been asked to come and share their experiences. This will take place on the opening night of NESI.

Show your support for those in need and help the children to reach out to others in the world through beautiful music.
